Oh yeah……..this had to die (FFI persecution video)

This is a shameful episode in the Church today. The Fransciscan Friars of the Immaculate have been viciously attacked by the Church and for being a Faithful, thriving traditionalist Catholic order. Compare this situation to the withering orders of Dominicans and Franciscans and Jesuits who espouse all manner of heresy and nothing happens. Our Lady of Good Success foretold these things four hundred years ago. I pray that she will intercede for these good men and women in this persecuted order.

Rorate has posted an amazing video apparently captured on the very day the Apostolic Commisioner installed by Pope Francis, Fidenzio Volpi, had the seminary of the Franciscans of the Immaculate closed in December of 2013.  As Rorate notes, and I have had directly relayed to me by suffering members of the FIs, the ongoing persecution has been terrible in its severity and has resulted in, if not the outright destruction of the order, at least it being gravely wounded.  Prospects for the future of this once flourishing order are now decidedly dim.

What is incredible in the Rorate report below, and which I have gleaned from a few brief contacts of my own with FIs, is the scope of the persecution, its invasiveness in the daily lives of these religious, and the totalitarian regime that has been set up in place of the former leadership. As such, the video below…

    It is tragic what is occurring to this order of Franciscans,worse than the reformation under Henry 8.

      How can we understand this with even the most generous naive eye? I can only conclude that the Church doesn’t want orthodox priests and religious for some reason because they threaten the hierarchy. How could that be? Yet, how else do we understand this?

      By the way, I trust you are enjoying your summer; here, winter stinks!
