The news that Pope Francis was the driving force behind the paragraphs in the October Synod’s Relatio greeted me this morning. The first report is an article in Aletelia and then Lifesite News published their comprehensive report. This comes as no surprise and is something I and many others already knew just by watching the machinations in October. Both reports are well worth your time. Now they are so confident that their triumph over Truth is nearly achieved, they are quite proud of putting their names to it, and the Pope’s.
These are just “debates”, you see. “Debates” with Jesus, you see. Fundamentally, Jesus didn’t know what he was saying, you see, and could not possibly foresee how progressed mankind would become, and how irrelevant His pronouncements would be to the 21st century mind. And who controls this Church, us or Him? Eh? No?
Jesus is not the only Way, the only Truth, and only Life, No? There’s the Francis way, the Francis truth, and the Francis life, which is the Modernist way, truth and life. Eh? His Humbleness is really so beautifully humble, isn’t he?
As I’ve written before, it is so disgusting that these abominable paragraphs were voted as acceptable by so many of the hierarchy, to see that they voted for tossing out the Truth for the applause of the world, a world that will still reject them when the dust settles, if it ever does.
There are times when we must call evil by its name, or in this case names. These articles name a few. We cannot continue to believe that this is all based upon misunderstandings or misinterpretation, that we are not reading and hearing what we are but something else, that we are not seeing and hearing how the Truth is outright denied or sophistically twisted. The light is shining brightly on this for all to see, even through the rose-colored glasses. Understand we must that many in the hierarchy do not believe the Faith is true, but only what they will make of it in order to keep themselves in food, clothing, and shelter without costing them a cent but only yours. This plan of theirs they see as a way to fill their coffers even more for their comforts and necessities when the world shows its appreciation, so they believe, for going along with its program of evil, which we see blatantly in the case of the German Church in particular.
On a happier note, we also have 2000 years of history to give us perspective. For example, Pope John XII was a blatant scandalous pope, who toasted the Devil at the foot of the altar, who fornicated, who was said to have turned his palace into a brothel, and who suffered a stroke while in bed with another man’s wife, which eventually killed him at the ripe old age of 27. That perspective shows that no matter who the pope is, the Church will continue as Jesus promises and the gates of Hell will not prevail against Her. We’re just getting the opportunity to have a front row perspective to watch the latest all out assault. Use the Truth to shield yourself and your family from the shrapnel and put on the armor of God.
Finally, the Church does have some real Champions of the Faith in Cardinal Burke, Bishop Athanasius Schneider, and several others throughout the world, revealed by their votes against these abominable paragraphs. I conclude with Bishop Schneider’s comments as reported in the Lifesite News article:
What some have argued is the Synod’s apparent program of easing the Church’s opposition to adultery, homosexuality, and other sexual sins has prompted some prelates to identify it as one of the great crisis points of Church history. Bishop Athanasius Schneider, who did not attend the Synod but said he had reflected deeply on the proceedings, said that it is a sign that the Church is entering a period comparable to that of its tumultuous early centuries.
“We are living in an un-Christian society, in a new paganism,” Schneider told aninterviewer after the Synod closed.
“The temptation today for the clergy is to adapt to the new world to the new paganism, to be collaborationists. We are in a similar situation to the first centuries, when the majority of the society was pagan, and Christianity was discriminated against.”
He continued, “Unfortunately there were in the first century members of the clergy and even bishops who put grains of incense in front of the statue of the Emperor or of a pagan idol or who delivered the books of the Holy Scripture to be burned.”
In our times, he said, clergy and bishops are not being asked to pinch incense to the emperor, but “to collaborate with the pagan world today in this dissolution of the Sixth Commandment and in the revision of the way God created man and woman.” These clergy, he said, would be “traitors of the Faith; they are participating ultimately in pagan sacrifice.”
